Graeme Swann Leading the England FTI MVP - 14.04.10Graeme Swann heads the overall England FTI MVP by a healthy 69 points going into the World Twenty20, which will decide the final outcome of the current rankings. Swann took 5-32 from seven overs across England's two Twenty20 matches against Pakistan and is ranked first in the Test FTI MVP and eighth in the ODI FTI MVP is now up to third in the T20 FTI MVP. He has taken 66 wickets and scored 579 runs across all forms. Stuart Broad, currently lying in second place, enjoyed two fine performances of his own against Pakistan taking 2-23 and 1-24 from his eight overs but the MVP momentum seems to be against him as he attempts to defend his crown. Broad has seen Swann eat away at his lead throughout the winter and might find the Bangladesh surfaces more suited to his colleague's style of bowling than his own. Broad is the leading wicket-taker across all forms with 74 victims and he has made important contributions with the bat too, compiling 441 runs, most of which (376) have come in the Test arena. It looks like being a straight shoot-out between the Nottinghamshire men as Jimmy Anderson is not on tour following rehab to his knee and Paul Collingwood failed to make up any ground in Dubai. England's one-day captain is up to third in Anderson's absence but is fifty points behind Broad with just three ODIs and two Tests to play in this year's FTI MVP campaign. Collingwood was in fine form in South Africa and despite having failed to score a Test century in 2009-10 is comfortably England's leading run-scorer across all forms with 1387 runs. Last year's FTI MVP runner-up, Kevin Pietersen, missed a large chunk of the summer after undergoing surgery on his Achilles but he finishes England's Twenty20 where he likes to be - on top. Pietersen made 203 runs from seven T20 internationals at a strike rate of 1.42 and averages 13.24 FTI MVP points per T20 match. Eoin Morgan is the only other player in double figures averaging 10.34 points. Ominously for the Bangladeshis, Pietersen looked to be back to his best form in Dubai scoring 43 not out and 62 against Pakistan.
