NatWest PCA AWARDS RETURNS IN 2017

NatWest PCA Awards returns to London’s Roundhouse The 48th NatWest PCA Awards, which will be one of the showpiece events of the Professional Cricketers’ Association’s 50th Anniversary year will take place at the world-famous events venue in Camden on Wednesday October 4, returning for the first time since Moeen Ali was awarded the NatWest PCA Player of the Year in 2013. The NatWest PCA Awards, in association with the England and Wales Cricket Board, is regarded as the most prestigious awards ceremony in English cricket, celebrating the achievements of the past season in front of a 1,000-strong audience, including past and present players, sponsors and guests. An evening of glitz and glamour, the NatWest PCA Awards recognises outstanding achievements and contributions with the presentation of 12 major awards, headed by the Reg Hayter Cup for the NatWest PCA Player of the Year and the John Arlott Cup for the NatWest Young Player of the Year. Both awards are highly-coveted as they are voted for by all current county players. {{Awards2016}} David Leatherdale, PCA Chief Executive, said: “The NatWest PCA Awards is the highlight of our event calendar, and a great end-of-season celebration for everyone involved in English cricket. “We are delighted to be returning to the Roundhouse in October, a fantastic venue to round off one of the busiest summers of cricket in recent times.” All proceeds from the NatWest PCA Awards evening go to the PCA Professional Cricketers’ Trust, which is supported by Royal London. The Fund supports current and past players and their dependants who might need a helping hand to readjust to the world beyond cricket and those who may have fallen on hard times or are in need of specialist advice, care or assistance.
