The England team start the second Test in Adelaide in the early hours of Saturday morning with Stuart Broad taking the early lead in the England Winter MVP rankings on 23 points.

Broad picked up 18.8 bowling points in Brisbane, claiming three important wickets in the first innings, including that of the set Shaun Marsh.
His new ball partner James Anderson picked up 12 MVP points, as he claimed two Australian wickets at the Gabba, despite appearing to struggle with a niggling injury for periods during the opening Test.
Anderson, the Test MVP from Summer 2017, will have a pink ball under lights at the Adelaide Oval and will be looking to replicate his success from his first day/night Test against West Indies in the English summer.
The Lancashire swing bowler produced a fine display at Edgbaston where he took five wickets at an average of just over nine.
Moeen Ali had a better Test with the bat than the ball, with his MVP points reflecting that. Picking up 11.11 batting points and only 6.98 bowling points due to a hand injury caused by the seam of the Kookaburra ball.
The injury is not severe enough to keep him out of the second Ashes Test, but he will be hoping it does not affect his bowling ability as it did at the Gabba. He currently sits behind Broad in the Winter MVP with 18 points.
Two Ashes debutants, James Vince and Mark Stoneman both made half-centuries in the first innings, and find themselves fourth and fifth in the Winter MVP respectively.
Vince struck 83 to earn him 11.92 batting points with Stoneman picking up 11.70 thanks to a first innings half-century.
Both players have been in good form on the Ashes tour, with Stoneman only once failing to go past fifty. With the Adelaide pitch expected to be one of the quickest in Australia, it should help their shot making, with Vince being a fluent driver of the ball – a quicker wicket will only help.
The England captain Joe Root sits just outside of the top five, with 11 MVP points. The skipper has done well in the past at Adelaide, he registered his highest score of the 2013/14 tour here, standing up to the Mitchell Johnson barrage to score 87.
With concerns over the fitness of Moeen Ali, he might also find himself bowling some more off-spin, improving on his 0.6 bowling points from the first game.
Finishing at the overall England MVP from the 2016/17 season, Joe Root is bound to challenging for his title – and the Test honour – once again this winter.
The PCA MVP Rankings system was introduced in 2007, an innovation which provides a more rigorous analysis of player performances than traditional batting and bowling averages.
The rankings were designed by the players to identify the match-winners and key influencers of matches throughout the domestic and international season.
