FUTURES AWARDS

The Professional Cricketers’ Association (PCA) wishes to reward the most proactive male and female members, past and present. Throughout each calendar year a large amount of PCA members take part in personal development and the PCA Futures Awards in association with Lodders, aim to highlight some of the best examples across the membership. It also highlights the development culture its members adopt with the support from the PCA.

The Award has been running since 2013 and has highlighted some fantastic personal development ambassadors.

The Awards have three categories for the winners:

1. Business Impact

  • Work Placement (s)
  • Business development
  • Coaching Development
2. Community Spirit

  • Charity Work
  • Community Work
  • Social and ethical endeavours
3. Academic Progression

  • Education / Learning – no formal qualification
  • Education / Learning – formal qualification

What can you win?

Each of the winners will be awarded a personal development bursary of £2,000 to invest in their continued development. In addition to this bursary, the ‘Overall Winner’ will receive an extra £1,000 based on the combined impact of their presentation and their personal development achievements. Lodders are also offering 12 months of career mentoring and business support for the winners.

In addition to this significant level of support from Lodders, the overall winner will receive free accountancy services for a year from PCA Tax/Accountancy Education Partner, Clay GBP. Meanwhile, all winners will share a comprehensive IT package from PCA Business Club Member, Lucidica that includes:

  • 1 x Free business grade laptop or desktop computer
  • 1 x Free website build
  • 1 x 12 month subscription/license to Microsoft 365 or GSuite

What constitutes Personal Development?

Examples of Personal Development could include learning acquired and qualifications undertaken, personal and professional skill development, work experience undertaken, and charity/volunteering/community work. The PCA recognise the broad and individual nature of Personal Development, therefore speak to your regional Personal Development Manager if unsure whether your efforts qualify.

Application Details

To apply, please complete the online application form by Wednesday 20th November 2024. The chosen finalists will be asked to present on their achievements on Tuesday 10th December at Lodders’ offices in Birmingham. Attendance in person on the day is mandatory for the finalists. The winners will be announced at the event.
