Beyond the Boundaries headlines with an exclusive interview with former England wicketkeeper and outgoing Surrey Director of Cricket Alec Stewart as the cover-star for its 35th issue.
The PCA’s membership magazine explores his career and bowing out of his day-to-day role after three consecutive County Championship titles.
Throughout the 72-page magazine you can delve into the new structure in the women’s game with a bumper 11-page feature where you can hear from Eve Jones, Paige Scholfield and Emily Windsor on their introduction to the new structure as well as the thoughts of the ECB.
PCA Interim Chief Executive Daryl Mitchell opens the publication with an introductory column, as James Harris pens his thoughts as the outgoing Chair of the Association. Former England and Surrey legend Adam Hollioake joins as a guest columnist, writing an emotional tribute to his friend and teammate Graham Thorpe, who tragically passed away in August.
There is also an exclusive interview with Marcus North on his new role as Head of Men’s and Women’s cricket at Durham, as well as a deep dive into cricketers’ mental health thanks to a collaboration between Bangor University, the ECB and the PCA. There’s also information on the opportunity to raise much needed funds for the Cricketers’ Trust with a challenging African trek.
And don’t miss out on the returning regular features as Luke Wright reminisces on his beloved shirts in ‘My Favourite Kits’ and ‘What A Game’ looks back a decade at the 2014 T20 Blast Final.
PCA members have been receiving their magazine in the post, the second edition of the new smaller compact size, still featuring well-loved regular elements and exciting new features.
Read all of this and more as Beyond the Boundaries continues to focus on telling the stories of current and former cricketers from across the PCA membership.
