Cricket Coach (self employed) – Denstone College
Qualifications:
- Level 2 coaching qualification (essential)
- Level 3 coaching qualification (desirable)
Sessions:
- Monday afternoon
- Wednesday afternoon
- Saturday afternoon
- Plus extra small group/1:1 sessions
Responsibilities:
- To prepare and deliver team training sessions for students aged 7-18.
- To prepare and deliver 1-2-1 skill development opportunities.
- To assist with the co-ordination and delivery of the outreach sports programme with local primary and feeder schools.
- To act as a role-model to students through personal performance and professional conduct.
- To be responsible, alongside the Director of Cricket, for the coaching of the School’s cricket squads and ensuring all teams are receiving a consistent and quality coaching provision.
- To assist in the delivery of match day logistics.
- To deliver coaching sessions before and/or after school as well as analysis of players’ technique.
- To help forge links with local clubs, feeder schools, and other cricketing bodies to create a joined-up approach to cricket in our local community
- To develop reputational recognition of, and value for, school cricket locally, regionally, and nationally.
- To be available at fixtures and competitions in the summer term as required.
This role involves coaching at key points of the week on our games programme – Monday afternoon, Wednesday afternoon and Saturday. There are also opportunities to deliver one-to-one coaching around these sessions.
