Georgia Adams has been announced as the captain of the 2022 Vitality PCA Women’s Team of the Year, selected through the PCA Most Valuable Player Rankings as part of an ultimate XI from this season’s domestic women’s cricket.
The MVP Rankings is the decisive statistical indication of player performance with the side based on their impact throughout domestic cricket in 2022. Captained by the individual with the most MVP points across the season, the player of the competition across each format is also included based on their outstanding performances.
The Southern Vipers skipper also leads the Vitality PCA Women’s Team of the Year having won the PCA Women’s Domestic Overall MVP award, finishing with 281 points.
Five players that made the 2021 Team of the Year have been selected in consecutive seasons with Emily Arlott, Lauren Bell, Emma Lamb, Bryony Smith and Adams all returning to the side.
The cinch PCA Awards takes place at The Hurlingham Club on Thursday 6 October where the best performing players of domestic and international cricket will be recognised. All players selected in the 2022 Vitality PCA Women’s Team of the Year will receive a personalised winner’s medal from Mappin & Webb.
