Georgia Adams has won the PCA Women’s Domestic Overall MVP award as Lauren Winfield-Hill picks up the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy Player of the Year.
The final of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy at Lord’s saw the end of the Women’s Domestic season with the Northern Diamonds winning an epic encounter by two runs.
Despite losing the final, Adams won the Match MVP award with brilliant figures of 3-34 with the ball and 70 with the bat.
The PCA Women’s Overall Domestic MVP and the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy Player of the Year have been identified by the PCA MVP Rankings, Adams and Winfield-Hill finished top of their respective tables.
The formula enables players to score or lose MVP points on every ball based on their expected performance for that ball in comparison to CricViz’s extensive historical database of limited-overs fixtures, with the venue being played at also taken into account.
Adams has impressed with both bat and ball this summer across the three women’s domestic competitions, finishing top of the rankings on 281 MVP points, scoring 463 runs and taking 24 wickets at an average of 20.3.
Taking 11 wickets at an average of 24.5 and scoring 218 runs at 27.3 with a highest score of 82, Adams had a great Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.
The all-rounder picked up her first Match MVP award of the tournament by scoring 82 off 93 balls and taking figures of 1-35, earning 25 MVP points as Vipers beat Lightning by 66 runs.
The 28-year-old led her side to Charlotte Edwards Cup victory, scoring 145 runs alongside taking four wickets with a sensational economy rate of 4.4 and picking up five catches.
The Vipers’ captain also won a Match MVP award against Northern Diamonds scoring 47 off 41 balls, only conceding 19 runs from her fours overs and taking a catch as her side won by six wickets.

In The Hundred, Adams scored 100 runs with a strike rate of 137 as well as taking nine wickets at an average of 17.2 and four catches.
Adams receives a trophy and £7,500 cash prize. On winning the award, Adams, said: “I’m really pleased to win the trophy, it’s been a bit of a whirlwind season and it’s great to see how much the women’s game is growing around the country.
“Today we let them get a few too many with the bat and we needed to build more partnerships in the middle.
“It’s been an amazing occasion but they were the better team today, we’ve got loads of depth so we’ll come back strong next year.”
Second on the Overall table was Northern Diamonds’ Lauren Winfield-Hill who finished with 248 MVP points, having scored 785 runs across all three competitions alongside taking 10 catches and 10 stumpings.
Winfield-Hill won an incredible four Match MVP awards across the competitions, including 39 points for a knock of 96 off 51 balls as the Northern Diamonds beat Lightning.
South East Stars’ Bryony Smith also had a consistently strong season across the three competitions, finishing in third place on the overall table with 225 MVP points.
Winfield-Hill wins Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy Player of the Year
Winfield-Hill secured the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy Player of the Year by finishing top of the PCA MVP Rankings on 123 points.
The Northern Diamonds keeper-batter finished the tournament as the leading run scorer on 470 runs, with a brilliant average of 78.3 and a strike-rate of 94.6, including seven catches and six stumpings with the gloves.
The 32-year-old scored one hundred and five fifties in the competition, picking up a Match MVP award against Southern Vipers in the group stages. She scored 125 not out and took a catch and a stumping to earn 33 MVP points as Northern Diamonds won by four wickets.
Winfield-Hill receives a trophy and £2,500 cash prize. On winning the award Winfield-Hill said: “It’s great to win the award but it’s been an emotional season for me really, I fell out of love with cricket a bit, but to win in the final at Lord’s is extremely special.
“I really wanted to stand up today for the team, it was a day to park your ego and do what the team needs. I’m really pleased that we got over the line and that I contributed in a final at Lord’s.”
Finishing in second place on 107 MVP points is Sunrisers’ youngster Grace Scrivens with Northern Diamonds captain Hollie Armitage completing a strong top three on 104 points.
